MOE - The Items Tested in The Additional Mathematics Kertas 1 SPM 2009: Code 3472/1 Complies With The Curriculum.

Ministry of Education (MOE) would like to refer to an article by Add Maths Teacher, published in THE SUN newspaper dated 11 June 2010 on the issue of – Discrepancies in SPM Add Maths Questions. The Examinations Syndicate wishes to clarify that the items tested in the Additional Mathematics Kertas 1 SPM 2009: Code 3472/1 complies with the curriculum and is true to the context in which it is tested. The Examinations Syndicate would also like to point out that the test instrument in question is set according to a Test Spesification Table (JSU) in use since 2003.The table ensures that all tests set are of similar levels of difficulty. However, in some casesthough the construct is the same, the stimulus and task may differ.  The ministry assures all candidates that their test papers will be scored fairly and students will be awarded the grades they deserve.  The ministry thanks Add Maths Teacher for his/her concerns.
